The preparation, processing and characterization of biodegradable monofilament suture based on L-Lactide/Glycolide/Trimethylene carbonate (TMC)

Preparation of antibacterial nano-biocomposites based on PLLA for medical applications

1- Synthesis and characterization of Poly L-Lactic acid (PLLA) in two different molecular weights

2- Encapsulation of antibacterial Triclosan using nano PLLA (PLA120)

3- Preparation of composites based on PLA0 and optimized nanodrug (LATC30)

4- Nanocomposites based on PLA0, LATC30 and nano hydroxyapatite (nHA)

In order to make Bionanocomposites we can use this simple figure

1- LATC30 imparted antibacterial properties
2- Establishing interactions between –Cl groups of triclosan and ester groups of PCL

  • Hyaluronic acid (HA) and chitosan (CH) derivatives with opposite charges was used for hydrogels.
  • To increase the interaction between them phenol moieties were substituted on the backbone of HA (HAPH) and CH (CHPH) via carbodiimide-mediated condensation reaction
  • Then subjected to enzymatic cross-linking in the presence of horseradish peroxidase
  • Creation of stable hybrid microenvironment for cell encapsulation and tissue engineering
