Our lab at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) was recently featured in a university news article for mentoring high school seniors from Hector J. García Early College High School (GECHS) in cutting-edge cancer therapy research. The students actively participated in developing a novel transdermal drug delivery system utilizing chitosan, polyethyleneimine (PEI), and MXene nanomaterials. This collaboration provided the students with hands-on experience in advanced biomaterials research, including formulation, characterization, and testing processes. The project exemplifies our commitment to fostering early engagement in scientific research and supporting the next generation of STEM professionals.
