Aidan Contreras is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. His interest in chemistry began in sixth grade when he was introduced to the periodic table and became fascinated by how chemical elements play essential roles in the human body and the world around us. Aidan is particularly interested in applying chemistry and scientific research to environmental and human health challenges. Through his education and research experiences at TAMIU, he hopes to contribute to projects that can meaningfully improve people’s lives while promoting environmental sustainability. He is passionate about the connection between human health and the health of our planet and aims to use chemistry and research to make a positive contribution to both society and the environment.
