Regina Valadez is a 10th-grade student at Hector J. Garcia Early College High School who is currently taking dual enrollment courses at Texas A&M International University. She aspires to use her leadership, communication, and research skills to pursue a career in microbiology and pediatrics. Post-graduation, she plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and a Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University. Her ambitions began at an early age, when her teachers and brothers introduced her to microorganisms, biology, and chemistry through science fair projects. Regina strives to improve society through microbiological research and medical innovations. In her free time, Regina enjoys rewatching the Twilight Saga with her mom and occasionally playing video games with her two older brothers.
